Adieu
One of my favorite songs is "I'm Through With Love" by Matty Malneck, Gus Kahn, and Jerry Livingston. It goes:
I'm through with love, I'll never fall again.
Said adieu to love, don't ever call again.
For I must have you or no one,
And so I'm through with love.
When I hear it I have this bittersweet image of Marilyn Monroe singing it in the movie "Some Like It Hot." I feel bittersweet now as I say adieu to blogging.
I have had an on-again, off-again affair with blogging. At times I have loved it and the freedom it gave me to express myself. Blogging also helped me organize my thoughts and understand more clearly how I felt about some things. I loved having the opportunity to express myself.
I also had some pain. I unnecessarily hurt the feelings of a few people and insulted the religion of a good good friend, for which I am truly sorry.
But I have to quit blogging now. DailyComedy.com is consuming all of my time and I can't devote the time necessary to keeping up a blog.
I'm sorry to lose touch with many of my readers and I hope you'll visit DailyComedy.com regularly. We've worked very hard to make DailyComedy.com full of laughs and fresh every day. It's my new passion now and I hope it will be yours too.
So I'm through with my love of blogging...I'm saying adieu to it and to you.
